Winter Tour Dates Announced!

December 18th, 2008

Dear Friends,
Most of the dates for our Winter 2009 “Drip Dry Your Troubles Away” Tour have now been finalized.  Visit the schedule page for details.  Don’t see your city on our route?  Let’s remedy that!  Local music venue & house concert leads are always appreciated.  Send your ideas (e.g., Hey, you gents would sound great at Jimmy’s Music Bar in Eastville, Montana) to twogentlemen@gmail.com and we’ll see what we can do.

And now, we invite you to observe the fun that awaits you at a Two Man Gentlemen Band concert, including… The highest vocal notes ever achieved by a two man band!

and Shadow Puppetry!

Oh, goodness!  Thanks to the immensely talented, and quite lovely, Mrs. Andy Bean, for capturing The Gents in action.

Yours most affectionately,
Andy Bean, Gentleman

Re-use your kazoos! Our supplies dwindle!

December 3rd, 2008

Dear Friends,
A small note on the upcoming recitals listed below:  If you are in possession of one, we encourage you, friends, to bring your own TMGB brand or generic kazoo(s) to this round of Two Man Gentlemen Band concerts.  We, of course, have a fine helping of kazoos in the gentlevan at the moment.  But, we fear that we may be a bit short by the time we reach Knoxville, unless those kazoo-rich gentlemen enthusiasts among you don’t lend a hand.  So,  do your part, friends!   Recycle!  Re-use your kazoos!  And we shall reward your virtue with song.

Yours most affectionately,
Andy Bean, Quartermaster

Matching Pants + A Solo Banjo Recital!

October 26th, 2008

Dear Friends,
Here are two gentlemen in matching pants.  This modest achievement has been 3 years in the making (1 year of saying, “Hey, we should wear matching pants!”, 1 year of searching for the appropriate two pairs of matching pants, 1 year to have them tailored just so).  Well worth it, don’t you think?

Thanks to our pal, The Snowshoe Rabbit, in Chattanooga for the picture.

And, Gentleman Andy Bean will perform a short solo recital with banjo and voice this Thursday, Oct 30, in Brooklyn as part of the Al Duvall “Recluses, Unite!” CD Release party.  10pm at Pete’s Candy Store.  Myriad other wonderful performers will be performing.  And it’s free!

With very kind regards,
The Councilman, Primary Bass Person
The Two Man Gentlemen Band

The Gents play CMJ Tuesday night!

October 20th, 2008

Dear Friends,
We’ve just been added to a wonderful show Tuesday night in NYC.  It’s the 3rd annual Serious Business Records CMJ showcase at Piano’s (158 Ludlow St, NYC).  The Gents play a short set around 9pm.  Then The Councilman plays electric bass with Higgins and Andy Bean plays electric bass with the Unsacred Hearts.  Electric bass, indeed!  And it’s free!

Yours vert cordially,
The Gents
